Privacy Policy

AmariPay Technologies Canada Inc. (“AmariPay”) provides payment and escrow services which may involve processing personal information of senders, recipients, and business users. We collect information you provide (name, email, phone, address, KYC documents), transaction details (amount, currency, counterparties), and technical data (device, IP, browser). We use this to deliver services, meet compliance obligations (KYC/AML), prevent fraud, and improve the platform.

We share information with service providers (e.g., payment processors like Stripe), banking partners, compliance vendors, and as required by law. We store data securely and retain it as long as needed for legal and business purposes. For access/correction/deletion requests (where applicable), email privacy@amaripay.ca.

Cross-Border Data Processing (Stripe Requirement)

We use trusted third-party providers such as Stripe to process payments. This means your personal and payment information may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States or Europe. These providers follow strong security and privacy standards to protect your data, and we only share information necessary to complete your payment or provide our services.

This satisfies Stripe’s cross-border disclosure requirement.

Refund & Dispute Policy

AmariPay uses an escrow model. Payers deposit funds that are held until the agreed milestone or delivery is confirmed.

  • Release of Funds: Upon payer confirmation (or contract milestone), funds are released to the recipient.
  • Disputes: If a dispute is raised before release, funds remain on hold while we review documentation from both sides. We may request contracts, invoices, delivery notes, and communications.
  • Outcomes: (a) full release to recipient, (b) partial split, or (c) refund to payer, based on evidence.
  • Processing Times: Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method; bank/card timelines apply.
  • Chargebacks: If a card chargeback occurs, we will provide evidence to the card network.
